I used to get migraines when I was little and fortunately I grew out of them, for the most part. I still get headaches pretty easily and a recent blood test revealed that I’m hypoglycemic (not severely or anything but enough that if I don’t eat every 2-3 hours I’ll likely get a headache and feel tired.) I’m almost 28 years old and I’m just now finding this out :P
And here’s the lovely side effects as outlined by Wikipedia: “Derangements of function can range from vaguely “feeling bad” to coma, seizures, and (rarely) permanent brain damage or death”. Lovely.
And I have friends who do exactly what Evil’s doing too.
Today’s vote incentive is the lovely button set du Nerd that we’ll have at Anime Boston (right now! This weekend! Starts today in fact!) Come find us in the Artist Alley and say hi!

panel 6, the look on evils face – AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
May 22nd, 2009 at 12:59 am
wonder if i got the same thing? hmmm, time for an appointment lol
May 22nd, 2009 at 1:02 am
Oddly enough, I’m hypoglycemic (again, not serious or anything…but I got it from my dad, who needs something to eat quite a bit). I found out that I can get dizzy, tired, and shaky if I don’t eat something, especially something with sugar in it, so I have to be careful how MUCH sugar I take in at a time.
But, eh…you probably don’t wanna hear my life story!! XD haha!!
Awesome page! I know exactly how poor Nerd feels! My brothers will sometimes do that to me, as well, if I even hint I have a headache. Not SO much, anymore…since I rarely say I HAVE a headache, but whenever I feel irritable, they ALWAYS bug me! XD I would SO like to see someone just get irritable here…and then someone is like “Hiy–AAAH!” *bang, wham, punch, kick, bang* “….ooooh….”
Haha! ^__^ Nice bit with prozac, there, by the way!! AWESOME! He’s so helpful…and nice! :)
May 22nd, 2009 at 1:26 am
That’s amazing!
May 22nd, 2009 at 1:46 am
Nerd had the prozac in paw. Should have thrown a few down Evil’s throat while he was shouting. Shut him up for a few seconds, then hopefully mellow him out for the day. Why confront your nemesis when you can drug them?
May 22nd, 2009 at 1:58 am
heh love ur comic!
love how prozac’s the “good” one but he can still put Evil in his spot!
May 22nd, 2009 at 2:31 am
Wait go back to the other comic what happens with lech bear now that he got his ass kick by a broom? And what about crack bear dose he ever over come his fear? Dose he eat anything other then bred? Maybe you’ll exsplain it in the other comics soon to come.
May 22nd, 2009 at 2:33 am
lmao that was funny x3 loved tripping him up bit
May 22nd, 2009 at 3:06 am
Ha all the caps say P and there in the washroom.
May 22nd, 2009 at 3:47 am
hahaha xD Evil Got Owned :3! Buajaja <3
May 22nd, 2009 at 4:21 am
see anybody who does that to people with headaches is a dick unless they deserved it and last i checked Nerd didnt do anything so good for Evil when he got tripped … hopefully he was still running his mouth wide enough that when he hit the ground a couple teeth got knocked out lmao
May 22nd, 2009 at 4:34 am
Migraines, uh, the pain. I couldn’t survive a week without my medicines, the sheer presence of light would brutally murder me.
Make him pay for this, Nerd, make him pay.
Also, yay for Prozac! LOL, didn’t see that coming XD
May 22nd, 2009 at 5:46 am
Look at Nerds little paw when hes reaching for drugs!
May 22nd, 2009 at 6:27 am
Yay! Prozac!!! I love that character… Wait… I love all the bears!
May 22nd, 2009 at 6:29 am
Ooops. Prozac lost his happy for a second there. With all the violence around there, you’d think they’d have SOME kinda pain killers, poor Nerd.
Are you planning on selling your buttons in your online store for those of us not lucky enough to live anywhere near Boston? :)
May 22nd, 2009 at 6:41 am
I could’ve sworn after that horrible beating Evil was going to lay off on Nerd for a while, guess he’s asking for another one. Although Prozac managed to own him nicely there XD
May 22nd, 2009 at 6:49 am
That’ll teach him! Bears don’t always land on their four feet like some animals. I’m sure that will leave him a bit sore
May 22nd, 2009 at 7:17 am
Ghehehe ^^
Prozac Bear knows just what to do :)
May 22nd, 2009 at 7:34 am
XD-Prozac tripped Evil! Didn’t see that one coming at all. Also loved Evil chasing poor Nerd.
May 22nd, 2009 at 8:00 am
x) lmao, and that’s why i love the prozac bear. teehee
evil is still my favorite though. =D
May 22nd, 2009 at 8:21 am
With all my respect(?)… Evil is the worst alive being in the world D| He’s still cool as a character anyway, lol~
My, didn’t see that coming from Prozac! xDD Funny thing is that Evil can’t complain abut the trip for maaany reasons. ;P
May 22nd, 2009 at 10:25 am
Another reason why I like Bear Nuts. Some of the jokes are side splitters, others are subtle chuckles like Prozac’s expression when he trips Evil. 80 pages and not a bad one in the bunch
May 22nd, 2009 at 11:42 am
This totally brightened my day. ^w^
May 22nd, 2009 at 2:38 pm
Oh your poor brain….
I figured teh bathroom cupboard would be filled with Prozac, but not that much!
And why did Evil enter the bathroom, did h not see it was occupied…still I would think more on the subject if it was Gay who invaded…ok, stopping my thoughts right there.
Now evil saying baby, even in a mocking tone sounds creepy within my mind.
Am still waiting on a comic chapter about Gimpi and death, wish you luck with ur writing, eat something, and later.

I almost thought all those pills was for Nerd. Pooor Prozac! Nerd’s gonna snap again at Evil! Is Lech ok?
@Alison and BethanyA, I wished that never happened to you two and many others. I had diabetes since 1991. That hypoglycemic thing is one of my variety of ploblems. One of the best jokes I heard. Was when I stumped my toe and yelled ouch and one of my friends said,” Don’t worry. It’ll feel better when it quits hurting!” DUH! I ‘d always wondered why the word “friend” also had the word “end” in it! Yall take care! Prozac FTW! Alison,I didn’t know you were that young?! You got mad art skillz!

May 22nd, 2009 at 7:05 pm
To Many Star Trek Re-Runs Will Do That To Ya, Nerd.
May 22nd, 2009 at 7:58 pm
Sheesh, Evil can be such a jerk >:( But Prozak was quite innovative in the last two panels :D
May 22nd, 2009 at 9:55 pm
I think it would have been better if Evil had called him a “cub” instead =3
May 22nd, 2009 at 11:39 pm
I love that ‘Zac has a mean streak, even when he’s on his meds…clearly they just let him focus it on the deserving.
May 23rd, 2009 at 12:25 am

Will Evil ever learn *shakes head* Good for Prozac, keeping him in line
May 24th, 2009 at 9:21 am
Yep I’m hypoglycemic too. When you don’t eat for like 10 hours you’ll get shaky and really grumpy too
May 24th, 2009 at 9:23 am
Oh… Haha…Forgot to say something about the strip XD
Looks like prozac can be a little mean too :P Loves the expressions and colors !
May 24th, 2009 at 3:38 pm
Evil kinda reminds me of my little brother…
May 25th, 2009 at 12:00 am
Fall came early this year. Somehow, I doubt Evil will enjoy his trip.
May 28th, 2009 at 10:41 pm
welcome to the hypoglycemia club! I was lucky, I was diagnosed at age twelve after a whole gamut of tests- I am thankful to this day that I had a persistent family doctor who thought outside the box. Most of the symptoms do get glazed over/misdiagnosed and people aren’t usually diagnosed until later in life. good luck and thanks for a great comic- you’re my new favorite.
July 22nd, 2009 at 1:27 pm
Awnn! Evil Bear looks so cute when hes yelling stuff on purpose! ? lol!!! :D I LOVE TANKED BEAR!!!! ???TaNkEd???

I, too, had migraines that oft ended in vomiting. Had.I found the trigger. The local supermarket’s house brand of diet sodas. (have to watch my blood sugar). Since I switched to and stayed with Pepsi- or Coca-cola, I have been free of headaches -unless raging angry ! I also have phobias. Acrophobia and something I call Mandelbulbzoomaphobia. It tripped on DevArt.

I have reactive hypoglycemia (pretty much means that if I eat sugar without protein or skip a meal I’ll be in bad shape). I was diagnosed a couple years ago. I wonder if it had anything to do with the seizures I had as a child.
I don’t think my symptoms are very normal. When I’m low my vision blurs and narrows. I also get cracky but I think that is normal. I get headaches sometimes too.

When I was in the Army, we’d do that to guys with hangovers. Once we picked a guys’ bunk up by all four corners, raised it about two feet, and dropped it. His eyeballs vibrated. Good times, man; good times.
