I had a brief fascination with nail polish for a few months in my teens, but it chipped off quickly and I was too lazy to maintain it ( lots of time on martial arts mats and outdoor summer jobs was murder on the toes) Then we got married in Jamaica (so looooong ago, so OLD now) and got a mani-pedi in the bride spa day deal thing, and they told me I had to stay off the beach for 24 hours or I’d ruin it. HA. Fortunately my dress covered my feet. And I don’t think anyone cared :D But I did have to sit alone in my room for hours so I didn’t mess up the hair. Meanwhile, my uncles took Jim sailing and he stumbled into the room with 20 minutes left before the ceremony, covered in sand.
Another nice article in Parent’s magazine about our new ‘Space Chasers’ book out now!
TEXT:
Lora held her left paw up as Gay swept in with a clear coat. “We have often made use of it when we needed…” She trailed off and glanced again at Lech who was singing something loud and off key while dancing on the cooler lid. Then Sara punched him in the groin and he toppled off.
Gay twitched in annoyance, then looked up with glee. “When you want a break from big L? You guys DOSE him?!”
Prozac lifted a brow in surprise and Cara giggled. Lora huffed, but smiled. “It’s very effective. Sometimes he is just so…much. Mostly we make do, stuffed together in this place with no recourse. And other times we need release. The owl was very accommodating. It was a grave day when he was disappeared. We were not pleased.” That last was delivered with a lowered brow and Prozac swallowed. Hard to tell for sure wether they knew who was responsible for the owl’s untimely demise, and definitely not worth confirming it for her.
And then a shiver up his spine derailed him completely. “How often do you go on a Lionel vacation?” Cara froze, alerted by his sudden icy calm. Gay also went still. Lora tilted her head. “Once a week, for months now. I suppose we will have to lower the frequency as our stash dwindles. Unless someone else can learn to cultivate the herb?” She looked at him, suddenly more open than before, but Prozac couldn’t focus on that at the moment. Crack and Evil, and Evil’s bleeding arm, were pushing hard at his instincts. “So you would say Lionel has quite a bit of experience in the mind scape thingy?” His paws were shaking, and Gay looked at him in alarm. Cara gasped.
Lora quirked a brow and smirked. “Yes King bear, a LOT.”

…Yeah, this explains why Evil and Crack had so much trouble last chapter. I mean, Lionel getting drugged up once a week?

Wait, Sara punched Lech in the groin, but Lech doesn’t wear pants, so… ewww!

Rescue is imminent!

Admittedly, this makes so much sense as to why Lionel knows how to control the dreamscape. Wouldn’t surprise me if losing Evil and Crack to him is a roundabout way of the lionesses getting revenge for the loss of the owl…
